We had Grey Cloud Outdoors build a paver patio in our backyard and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. They also updated our landscaping to tie everything together, and now our house has better curb appeal and stands out in our new-build neighborhood. The design process was easy and they incorporated our feedback quickly to give updated designs before the final draft. The bid was reasonable and accurate. One thing we really appreciated was how thoughtful they were about planning our project. We were having a deck built at the same time, and they coordinated everything perfectly — first the patio, so the deck stairs would match perfect with the patio, and then they came back and added rock under the deck once it was done. It helped avoid what would’ve been a big muddy mess in that shaded area. The whole process was smooth, the crew was great to work with, and the results speak for themselves. Highly recommend Grey Cloud Outdoors!

My wife and I hired Grey Cloud to install a 35’ x 15’ Unilock paver patio in our backyard. From the initial onsite consultation to the delivery of the end product, we were incredibly impressed with Tyler and team’s work. Not only did the patio look great, we always felt as if we were being heard with our requests and understood the status of the project. They also took on the extra effort of working with our city to bring forth solutions of impermeable restrictions driven by the Shoreland Overlay District of White Bear Lake. We’d recommend Grey Cloud to anyone looking into services they provide; we’d certainly use them again should a project arise

Very happy with my experience. Everybody was super communicative, transparent, and easy to work with. The Crew was polite and kept everything tidy. The landscaping will help salve some water issues I was having. And the new patio and rock wall will add to the outdoor memories for my family. Love the boulders selected. They even found the perfect bolder rock with a flat top for family members to sit on and read, and for young ones to perform backyard imaginary concerts:) I would definitely use Grey Cloud Outdoors on another project!
Great company to work with. They rebuilt our timber wall and straighted out the pavers and also replaced all the cedar boards, railing and staircase on our 31 year old deck. Communication was excellent. Work started shortly after the estimate. All the men working on the project did excellent work and put in long hours. Very impressed with the quality. Would hire Grey Cloud Outdoors again.

Tyler viewed our yard and listened attentively to what we were looking to do. He offered many great suggestions and responded to numerous questions. After, we agreed on a plan, he quickly provided a reasonable cost estimate. He and his team were at our home within a few days after we accepted the estimate, to do the agreed work. We were impressed by the quality of work and polite, professional interactions between Tyler and his team with us. They completed the project in less time than we had anticipated, especially considering that they had to use a tractor to dig up and remove numerous rocks, old shrubs, and even small trees, before being able to plant the new shrubs, install edging, and apply grass seed. We highly recommend Grey Cloud Outdoors for your landscaping needs.

Tyler and his crew from Grey Cloud did a fantastic job on our backyard update! We had an old retaining wall that was failing and wanted to explore other options while maintaining the structure. Tyler gave form to the idea we had of making a 13’ long set of stairs to make the yard feel more cohesive. The team worked hard for two straight days, tearing out the old wall and some cracked concrete then meticulously installing the stairs and pouring new concrete. They were able to move an existing handrail to save us some money. We ran into a concern over the neighbor’s retaining wall being affected by our construction, and Tyler suggested some river rock down the fenceline to fill the gap visually. It turned out exceptionally well! We’re so happy with our new welcoming backyard and highly recommend Grey Cloud for outdoor projects.
Hired Tyler and couldnt be happier with the job he did, but also the suggestions he made that ultimately made our yard better. Can’t wait to hire him again!

There truly aren't enough good handymen and contracting companies out there so I was elated to discover Tyler. He was recommended by neighbors and I was hesitant, but his communication was prompt, very courteous demeanor, great prices, and high quality craftsmanship are what won me over. We hired Tyler to build a wooden fence for us. It was previously done by Tucker's Lawn Care with the cheapest materials, and for some reason he only did 3 of the 4 sides. Tyler came in and built a side to match (although his side looks the best by far!). Additionally, we needed the gate that was installed by Tucker's Lawn Care (AGAIN DO NOT RECOMMEND) redone as it was completely sagging after the 1st week, didn't swing open, had poorly installed hardware, and the wood was cracking. Tyler made time in his week to get it done for us and WE ARE GIDDY with how wonderful it looks and operates. Tyler went over and beyond out expectations and installed new hardware that looked great and was fully functional, and even fixed a fence panel that was damaged in a store JUST BECAUSE he's a nice guy. TYLER IS THE GUY TO CALL! We look forward to working with him on upcoming projects. Thanks Tyler!
Grey Cloud Outdoors (GCO) has been our go-to company for all manner of seasonal yard work. We also use them to get rid of winter snow. Specifically, they built a patio drain system for us to drain spring run-off which otherwise built up at the bottom of our deck stairs and made it difficult for us and the dog to enjoy the area without having to wear rubber boots for 2-3 weeks on end. They sodded part of our yard and extended our front rock garden to the side of the house which gave the entire area a new, refreshed look. The staff are great, and always clean up after they're done. We recommend GCO to everyone with in their service area.
I reached out to Tyler in early spring regarding my backyard project. The amount of time he spent answering questions and getting a design in place was impressive. I never felt rushed during the process. Due to Tyler’s calm and helpful demeanor, I felt comfortable hiring him for the project. Late summer he started on the project. I was really shocked to see him on site working every day with his team, I feel so often the person you work with on estimates and designs is never on site for the actual work. His crew members were all very respectful and worked hard during some very hot days. After each day they cleaned up well before they left. It was very clear that Tyler takes pride in his work. My project turned out very well. I have had several comments on how well the work was done and also how great the overall finished project looks. Since the project has finished, I have reached out to Tyler a couple times with questions and he continues to remain very responsive and helpful.
We hired Grey Cloud Outdoor Services to replace a 45' long x 4' high retaining wall. I highly recommend Grey Cloud Outdoor Services and would hire them again. Tyler, the owner, was very knowledgeable, professional and delivered a high quality product. There were no surprises or changes in the bid amount and the job started and finished on time. They also cleaned up the area affected by the project. Our new retaining wall looks fantastic and we are very pleased.

Great folks to work with! Professional, detailed, great communication, great quality work. We had a retaining wall replaced along with some upgrades like adding some stairs along our steep slope and a walkway alongside the garage. We didn’t really have a good plan or idea of what we wanted so I very much let Tyler provide suggestions and do what he thought was best and he knocked it out of the park, very happy with the design and the work they did. The footprint of the new wall is much more desirable and the steps alongside are awesome! We had trouble getting grass to grow back in the surrounding work area due to the hot summer heat, to no fault of GC Outdoors. But without me even asking, Tyler offered to come back this fall and reseed again, which they did just a few days ago! Above and beyond!

Tyler was able to help regrade our driveway. He and his team were very helpful, responsive and did great work. He came out to see the project, gave us a quote as well as options for additional materials we might need. He came out to do the job when he said he was going to, was available for any questions we had. The driveway has been done for a month+ now and it has held up so well during the rain. Tyler’s professionalism as well as skill makes him stand out. I would absolutely recommend his services.
My wife and I were searching for a company to repair our 6 foot wood privacy fence. We found Greycloud via multiple strong recommendations on Nextdoor and we are so glad that we hired them to fix our fence. They replaced 7 4x4 posts and poured new concrete footings, and also replaced 9 2x4 cross sections and added 12 new pickets to the fence. Not only did Tyler and his team get our project done early, they did so with exceptional craftsmanship at an extremely reasonable price. I would recommend Tyler and Greycloud to anyone looking for help with fence (and other) projects and would give them a strong 5 star rating. Great work Tyler!

Rather than just going off of pictures, Tyler drove out here and spent time assessing the job. As a property manger, snow removal is very important for the overall success of a property, especially in Minnesota. This is my second season working with Tyler, previously, he helped at a senior living facility I managed. We currently have Tyler at my townhome association and we have experienced some of the best service I have had in my 9 years of property management. Tyler is prompt, has excellent communication and completes work effectively and efficiently in record time.
